In official Beer Olympics play, in the spirit of speeding up competition, “catching fire” and team “rollbacks” are allowed. Fire is achieved after a single player hits 3 cups in a row, and rollbacks occur when team members both hit cups in the same turn. This Beer Olympics Event is one that you’ve probably played many times before and is the perfect way to get your beer Olympics up and running in style. Each of the two teams (or individuals) will set up their cups on the table, and alternate turns of throwing a ping pong ball into the cups.
Look, croquet and badminton are for white fancy boys named Chauncy who wear socks and sandals to the beach. Beer pong is for unimaginative frat bros. Cornhole - while still a perfectly nice game, don’t get me wrong - has just become a little.
The best part of summertime grill-fests, aside from the, should be the.Luckily, society has developed at least 17 worthwhile pastimes to occupy your non-drinkin’ hand after you finish stuffing your gullet. There’s something for every style of BBQ: the backyard mega bash, the subdued patio grill-out, and even the “oh crap it’s raining and now we have to cook inside my garage” shindig.
No athleticism required.
For the upcoming Fantasy Football season my friends and I have decided that we're going to try and do a beer olympics to determine the drafting order. So far the idea is to award points based on how well you do in each event. There is ten of us and we're having a hard time thinking of different events based around skill, luck, and chugging abilities. The points will be distributed between ten people ranging from PlacePointsFirst15Second13Third10Fourth9Fifth8Sixth7Seventh6Eighth5Ninth2Tenth0Currently for games we've got:Beer Pong - 2v2 until the finals where the winning team will go head to head.
The losing teams will also go head to head to determine their individual position.Flip Cup - 2v2 with the same idea as beer pong for final positionsBeer Ball - 1v1 It's a rather fast paced game involving chugging a bottle of beer to win. This one will be a one round elimination with a losers bracket most likely.Pint Chug - Two rounds. The first round will eliminate the slowest and the second round to determine the fastest with more people to judge.
After finishing the drink the player must put the cup upside down on their head to prove everything was drank completely.Timed bat race - Spin around a bat 10 times then run 10 metres to a bottle and finish. This one will be timed so it's easy to determine the winner.Beer Toss - Everyone stands in a line and passes a beer bottle back and forth while taking one step back each toss. Winning team is the last team with an intact bottle.Slap Cup - Last man standing winsCanadians and Cable ties - People are paired up and have their hands tied together and must finish 8 bottles between them.
First place team gets 15 points, Second place gets 10, etc.So far this is about all the ideas we can come up with. Sorry for the huge wall but if anyone has any suggestions for things we can play (preferably individual or partners) it would be greatly appreciated and you'd be helping a wonderful cause.
